Aim of this tour is to make Forcella shine and its inhabitants become conscious of their area beauty. Forcella is part of Spaccanapoli and in Calenda square we find the “Cippo a Forcella”, a group of stones part of the ancient border of the city. We will go to visit the “Exposed babies’ wheel”, we will walk through the fishmongers’ open market in Porta Nolana. We will taste an espresso and some streetfood. Smorfia numbers, that are linked to this tour, are: 86 the shop (a puteca) and 76 the feasting people (popolo in festa).
Route
We will meet
in Vicaria Vecchia street (To the crossing between Duomo street and San Biagio
de’ Librai);
We will visit San Giorgio Maggiore church and we
will give a look to Jorit Agoch’s murals about San Gennaro;
We will walk
till the Cippo and we will visit the Exposed babies’ wheel.;
We will snoop
around Porta Nolana market, tasting coffee and streetfood;
